It was my birthday this week and I’m sure you’ll agree that I received the most curious and wonderful thing – a miniature, hand-crafted GLaDOS model FOR MY HAIR! This is awesome for a variety of reasons:
Firstly, I always wear shit in my hair, like every day. Normally it’s flowers, but I have an array of hair accessories that I like to sport from time to time. This collection can only be improved by additional geekery. Secondly, it’s crazy detailed. It has little pipes and panels and logos etc, which are all amazing and adorable. Thirdly, someone spent a long time making this especially for me, which is freakin’ cool.
Anyway, the mad model skillz come from the hands of the fabulous Luke Walker. He does bitchin’ illustrations too, so go check out his Tumblr. If you think you want something crafted/drawn/imagined too, drop him an email (lukejasonwalker

com) and he may well hook you up.
Hey guys, did I mention I have a tiny, awesome GLaDOS accessory?! Who wouldn’t want a passive-aggressive, corrupt, murderous robot in their hair, right? Check her out…
EDIT: With all the attention this post has been getting I thought I’d email Gabe Newell about little GLaDOS on the off chance that he’d care, and he did actually email me back! The official Valve verdict? “Pretty awesome“. I don’t really think I could have asked for better. Huzzah!
EDIT 2: It gets better! Valve sent me stuff!
Do feel free to share the photos by the way, but please don’t remove the credit, as that would do Mr Walker no justice at all. And that’s just not cricket.

That is brilliant! I can just imagine GLaDOS making constant criticisms of everything you do as she rides around on your head.
“Well done. Here are the test results: You are a horrible person. I’m serious, that’s what it says: A horrible person. We weren’t even testing for that.”
“…And when was the last time you washed your hair?”
Its disturbing how GLaDOS is somehow comforting.
All you need now is a Wheatley tongue stud and matching Atlas / Peabody earrings.
OMG, I so need Companion Cube earrings!
i like the use of a Penny for scale – did you consider using a potato?

I actually can’t think of any computer game hair accessory that would be as cool as this. I mean, I could wear my Sackboy in my hair but that would just be weak. What else could be this cool? #seriousquestionyouguys

Glad you like her!

Hi there, was directed here by Kotaku. I’m getting married in about a year and a half, and we decided on a Portal theme. My fiance was interested in having Glados in her hair, any way that we could possibly acquire one of these masterpieces?
Try contacting Luke. His email address is linked to in the post.
funny that me and the groom to be both post back-to back about it for our wedding
Hey guys!
Really glad you like it and congrats on a)Your wedding b)the most excellent theme choice!
Feel free to send me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!
How does it stay in the hair? I don’t see a clip or a band. How heavy is it? Tell me, does it at least beep at people?
GLaDOS is on a kind of crocodile clip, it’s attached underneath but it wasn’t on there when we took the close up photos.
She is pretty heavy actually. I think I will have to style my hair specifically to wear her! That’s not really a big problem though.

I would love to f*ck it.
“Your pores could stabilise the global fight over oil, but aside from that you look great.”
