A Portal kind of love

Portal love

We <3 Valve. And apparently they <3 us too! With a bit of luck you’ll all remember my little GLaDOS hair accessory from last week, but what you may have missed is that I emailed a Mr Gabe Newell about it too. Now I wasn’t really expecting a reply from Valve’s big fella, but not only did he email me back (saying little GLaDOS was “pretty awesome”), he forwarded my email on to a plethora of Valve employees (well like 6 anyway), which actually included some the original Portal creators. Eeeeep!

Anyway, they said they would like to send over a little something to say thanks for bringing some Portal themed awesomeness into the world. Again I wasn’t really expecting too much, but Valve have outdone themselves once more.

So I came home last night to find… *drumroll please*

A Valve t-shirt and Aperture Science lanyard

A Portal 2 poster signed by the team – real signatures and everything!
(Enjoy my oh-so-rock-and-roll pyjamas there…)

AND a bloody gorgeous Portal 2 70′s style movie poster lithograph! This was too nice to be man-handled for photos, so you’ll have to make do with a product shot.

God it’s lovely. Lovelier than I could have captured with a photo. Get your own from the Valve store.

So yeah, how cool is that? Special gifts, direct from the hearts of Valve, that arrived ludicrously quickly. Pretty fucking cool if you ask me…
