It’s been a whole week since the Battlefield 3 beta ended, and it’s proven to be a tricky one to write up. You see, the problem with previewing a beta is that it’s difficult to separate the bugs and unfinished parts from any flawed, but deliberate design decisions. This isn’t helped by the fact that I want to like BF3, I really, really do. I want to say that every problem I have with it is just unfinished and will be so polished by the final product that I’ll be able to see my smiling glee-filled face in it. So here’s the plan: I’ll observe the niggly bits, and we’ll all just pretend that it’ll all be alright in the end. What could go wrong?
